Arthur Lodge Launches New Virtual Lamppost
According to Tesco Insurance statistics over 300,000 pets go missing every year causing the owners stress in trying to find their beloved furry friends. This usually means owners will do everything in their power to find them safe and sound resulting in posters of missing cats/dogs/rabbits being put on every telegraph pole and lamppost in the area.
Arthur Lodge Veterinary Surgery in Horsham has now made this stressful situation easier for pet owners with a ‘virtual lamppost’ section on their brand new website. The virtual lamppost is free and designed to let everyone in the area, including the vets themselves, know all about the missing pet. Pictures can even be uploaded so that other people in the area can look out for them.
"This is a great technological move that can help reunite owners with their pets more effectively," explains Julian Peters, owner of Arthur Lodge Veterinary Surgery. "Being online means that your post will last longer than paper posters which have to battle the elements. It is anticipated that our virtual lamppost will capture more attention and find missing pets quicker, reducing stress for their owners. The service will also work for pets that have been found and need reuniting with their owners."
To tell Arthur Lodge about any missing pets email us your contact details, a description of your pet and its name, a photo and where your pet was last seen to arthurlodge@pmwcom.co.uk and we will upload the details to our lost pets page which can be found in the pet section of www.arthurlodgevets.co.uk
