Routine visits are available for large farm enterprises at regular fortnightly or monthly intervals. Individual sick animals are examined on farm but some small ruminants can be examined at the Horsham surgery. All farm animal examinations are by appointment only.

Fees are based on a visit fee (if appropriate), time and drugs.

The practice have veterinary surgeons qualified to do most DEFRA tasks including export certification.

We carry out TB testing of local cattle ,as required and instructed by DEFRA, throughout the year.

Private TB testing before movement or sale of cattle can be arranged by appointment.

Advice on current, local notifiable disease issues eg FMD and Bluetongue is available from the practice.

Health plans in the format required by Farm Assurance Schemes can be created for any farm enterprise.

These are reviewed annually and we seek to regard the health plan not just as a necessary document but also a means to improving health, fertility, and welfare on farms.
